My Story
Thank you for considering partnering with me towards mental wellness and behavioral health for your child. I am quite excited to meet you and learn more about your behavioral wellness needs. I am Dr. Leisha Tompkins, a licensed Pediatric Clinical Psychologist. My passion and vision is to promote resiliency in children and families, resulting in peaceful, interdependent relationships while maintaining independent critical thinking and decision-making. As a parent to neurodiverse children, and also a practitioner, I know the struggles and joys of working with children with exceptionalities and unique abilities. Additionally, I enjoy incorporating my client’s faith into our sessions together alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the most researched and effective treatment modality for many symptoms. My pediatric mental health experience spans 11 years and includes work in top children’s hospitals, community mental health centers, and both inner-city and rural schools. Prior to my doctoral work, I served the communities of Enid, Oklahoma and Northwest Oklahoma as a Licensed Professional Counselor, specializing in play therapy (2009-2014).
